SDS Format for Switzerland

SDS compliant with the Chemicals Ordinance (OChim)

In accordance with the Swiss Chemicals Ordinance (OChim), the safety data sheet (SDS) must comply with the requirements of Annex II of the EU REACH Regulation No. 1907/2006, with the exception of the requirements concerning nanomaterials and nanoforms.

However, according to the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (OFSP), information on nanomaterials included in the SDS is desirable in Switzerland, but unlike the EU, it is not mandatory under OChim at this time.

Sections 1, 7, 8, 13, and 15 of the SDS must refer to national law, and relevant provisions of Swiss law must be indicated. The manufacturer, supplier, importer, downstream user, and the Tox Info Suisse emergency telephone number must be listed in Section 1.

The « SDS SWISS OChim » module has been developed by InfoDyne to meet these requirements. It allows the creation of safety data sheets that include various content adjustments and the integration of numerous Swiss regulations.

If optional language modules are available in your configuration, this module allows you to translate SDSs into French, English, Italian, and German only.
